ISLAMABAD:Civil Judge Shaista Khan Kundi has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa about the alcohol case.
In the District and Sessions Courts, the case involving the recovery of arms and liquor against Ali Amin Gandapur was reviewed by Civil Judge Shaista Khan Kundi. The court denied Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur's request for exemption from attendance due to physical reasons and issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for him. The court directed SHO Bhara Kahu to arrest and present Ali Amin Gandapur by tomorrow. Meanwhile, the Anti-Terrorism Court has postponed the hearing of Ali Amin Gandapur's pre-arrest bail application to September 10. Judge Tahir Abbas Supra presided over the case, which is filed under terrorism-related provisions.
Raja Zahoorul Hasan, representing Ali Amin Gandapur, appeared in court and presented a medical certificate stating that the Chief Minister is currently unfit to attend due to a leg injury. Hasan explained that Gandapur sustained the injury while inspecting flood-affected areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Chief Minister slipped and hurt his leg, and the doctor has advised a week of rest. Given these circumstances, the court was asked to postpone the hearing. The court agreed and rescheduled it for September 21
