First mobile in the world
The first mobile phone was invented by Dr. Martin Cooper, a researcher at Motorola, in 1973. The device, which was called the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X, weighed almost 2.5 pounds and was about the size of a brick. It had a battery life of about 20 minutes of talk time and took 10 hours to recharge. The DynaTAC 8000X was first released to the public in 1983, and cost $3,995. It was primarily marketed to businesspeople and was considered a status symbol at the time.
